You can also have a different kind of spin on a shower, like tea parties, spa showers, or make over showers. It can be all about the new baby, or all about the new parents. You can have a separate party for the husband; they might not enjoy all the fancy cute things, but maybe a night out before the baby arrives is in need.

If you already have a child, a baby shower recognizing the big sister or big brother can be a cute idea. Also showers for new grandmothers, and aunts would be fun too.
