Baby Shower Games

Baby showers are a time to gather together close friends and family of the mother-to-be and celebrate what is sure to be a life changing event.  This is a party that is guaranteed to be light-hearted and happy.  A few fun and silly games can help break the ice and ensure that everyone will relax and have a good time.

Games based on the mother-to-be are always a good way to start the party.  After everyone has introduced themselves and explained their connection to the guest of honor, pass out a quiz and see how well everyone knows the future mother.  The questions can be fun, silly, personal, basic, or a combination.  This is a good game to keep the guest of honor the center of attention.  Guessing games are also a lot of fun.  Put different baby related items in sealed paper bags and pass the bag around the room for everyone to try to guess what the item is.  Put different types of baby food on a paper plate and pass it around for everyone to guess what type of food it is.  Another fun game is pairing up your guests to diaper a (toy) baby or stuffed animal.  Each person can only use one hand and set a time limit for an added twist of fun.

In addition, there are lots of paper games such as baby bingo, guess the nursery rhyme, name that baby song, etc. that you can download from the internet.  Buy a collection of small baby related items to use as prizes for the games, such as pacifiers, baby shampoos, small toys, etc.  When someone wins a game, they can open the prize and then give it to the mother-to-be.
