Baby Showers

Planning for a baby shower is always fun and exciting.  Finding a theme for the baby shower might be a little more challenging.  If the mother to be has a theme for the nursery then that usually is the theme for the nursery.  If this is not possible then there are other ideas.  What time the shower is to be held might also have an influence on the theme. If the shower is for couple then there is another consideration.   

One idea for a shower would be a Saturday morning brunch at which breakfast foods are served. The theme of the intended nursery can be incorporated into this.  Example would be to have brunch that has bears as center piece.  The brunch can be fancy with linens and crystal or it can be simple with everyday china.  There can be fun games played at this time also.  

The shower could be a location shower where the location has to do with the theme of the shower.  This would work also if the shower is to be a coed shower.  It could be at a restaurant, an outdoor location, or some where special to the parents.

Another idea would be a shower for the mom.  If this isn’t a first time mom then a shower for the mom is fun.  The shower can be about pampering the mom by giving her gift certificates for dining out, or a day at the spa.  The theme would be something that is about the mom, something the mom likes.  A shower can be held anywhere and the theme can be anything.  It all depends on what the hosts wish to do and how detailed the shower is to be.
